Retatrutide 20mg Multi‑Dose Research Pen
Instructions for Research Use for an adjustable-click laboratory research pen containing 20mg nominal retatrutide content.
1 Important Research‑Use Notice
This product is not a medicine, medical device, food, cosmetic, or dietary supplement.
- For controlled laboratory research use only.
- Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease or condition.
- Do not use for self‑administration or administration to another person.
- Use only by trained personnel in an authorised research setting.
This sheet supports controlled handling and recordkeeping. It does not replace the batch Certificate of Analysis, Safety Data Sheet, validated study protocol, or applicable laws and regulations.
2 Before Handling
Do not continue if the pen is damaged, leaking, unlabeled, contaminated, or outside the stated storage conditions. Quarantine and contact Peptiv8 Support.
3 Pen Overview
The Peptiv8 multi‑dose research pen uses an adjustable clicker mechanism to dispense measured research volumes from a prefilled cartridge into an approved laboratory receiving vessel, assay substrate, or validated collection target.

- Keep capped until controlled laboratory dispensing.
- Protect from contamination, direct light, excessive heat, and unauthorised access.
4 Adjustable Clicker Calibration
The pen contains a nominal total of 20mg retatrutide. Output is adjusted using the clicker mechanism, with click count used to reconcile intended research volume and nominal retatrutide content.
A 60 IU / 60 click setting is calibrated as 0.6mL and contains 5mg retatrutide nominal content.
| Reference setting | Nominal content | Record requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 60 clicks / 60 IU | 5mg retatrutide / 0.6mL | Date/time, batch, operator, click count, receiving vessel/test ID |
| Adjustable partial setting | See click / volume table below | Date/time, batch, operator, click count, receiving vessel/test ID |
5 Click / Volume Reference
Use this reference to reconcile the pen click count, volume, and nominal retatrutide content in the laboratory record. These values are for controlled research measurement only and are not administration guidance.
Calibration basis: 60 clicks = 60 IU = 0.6mL = 5mg retatrutide. Lower click counts represent proportional measured research volumes.
| Clicks / IU | Volume | Nominal retatrutide content |
|---|---|---|
| 1 click / 1 IU | 0.01mL | 0.083mg / 83.3mcg |
| 6 clicks / 6 IU | 0.06mL | 0.5mg |
| 12 clicks / 12 IU | 0.12mL | 1mg |
| 18 clicks / 18 IU | 0.18mL | 1.5mg |
| 24 clicks / 24 IU | 0.24mL | 2mg |
| 30 clicks / 30 IU | 0.30mL | 2.5mg |
| 36 clicks / 36 IU | 0.36mL | 3mg |
| 42 clicks / 42 IU | 0.42mL | 3.5mg |
| 48 clicks / 48 IU | 0.48mL | 4mg |
| 54 clicks / 54 IU | 0.54mL | 4.5mg |
| 60 clicks / 60 IU | 0.60mL | 5mg |
6 Controlled Laboratory Dispensing
- Confirm the required click count and receiving vessel/test system ID.
- Put on required PPE and prepare the approved collection vessel, substrate, or target.
- Remove the pen cap and attach any compatible sterile accessory required by the pen configuration.
- Set or confirm the required click count on the dose mechanism.
- Direct the dispensing end into the approved receiving vessel, substrate, or validated collection target.
- Activate the dispense mechanism fully and maintain position until the validated workflow indicates completion.
- Confirm the dose mechanism indicates completion for the selected click count.
- Dispose of any single‑use accessory according to local laboratory procedure.
- Recap the pen, return it to required storage, and complete the laboratory record.
Do not estimate, recover, or re‑dispense a suspected partial aliquot unless the validated research protocol specifically describes that deviation process.
7 Flow Check and Deviations
Flow check
If a flow check is required, perform it only into an approved waste vessel or collection material. Confirm liquid appears from the dispensing pathway before study use. If flow is not confirmed, quarantine the pen.
Deviation handling
Record leakage, blocked flow, dropped pen, suspected contamination, or incomplete dispense in the study record. Stop use until the protocol or Peptiv8 Support provides direction.
8 Storage and Disposal
Storage
- Follow batch-specific storage conditions supplied with the COA/SDS.
- Keep capped when not in use.
- Protect from direct light, excessive heat, and uncontrolled conditions.
- Store in controlled-access research storage only.
Disposal
- Dispose of sharps in an approved sharps container.
- Dispose of contaminated material under institutional waste rules.
- Do not place used accessories or contaminated materials in general waste.
- Do not recycle, refill, or reuse the pen.
9 Troubleshooting
| Observation | Action |
|---|---|
| No liquid appears during flow check | Confirm accessory attachment and remaining aliquots. Repeat only if permitted by protocol. If unresolved, quarantine. |
| Pen leaks | Stop use, place in secondary containment, record the event, and contact support. |
| Dose mechanism will not move | Do not force. Confirm remaining aliquots. Quarantine if resistance persists. |
| Incomplete dispense suspected | Do not uncontrolled re‑dispense. Record the observation and follow protocol deviation process. |
| Pen dropped or contaminated | Stop use unless recovery is explicitly permitted by protocol. Quarantine and record incident. |
